My "Elements" compo series is a string of compos that, when each element is packaged together, will form an imaginary video game's soundtrack that consists of the best tracks from the remixSite community. Each series will feature a different video game genre, and each element in a series will stem from the previous element to eventually bloom into a more-or-less complete soundtrack. Some elements will be larger undertakings for the composer, such as composing themes for people and places, and thus the composer will have more time to write; other elements will be smaller in comparison and will take only a week's time, namely victory themes, hotel sleep music, etc..
Though I plan to lay out all of the "Elements" series compos, input from other composers as to what elements should be focused on in future compos is encouraged. Have fun!
RPG ELEMENTS ROUND 1: NATION'S ANTHEM
Round I will focus on the creation of a theme for the first setting of our game. The "nation" you are composing for is a place with an overarching rule. You may think of it as a modern nation-state, a kingdom, or anything of the like. The nation may be benevolent, it may be a dictatorship, it may be rising to the peak of its power, or it may be crumbling. It may even be insignificant compared to other nations around it. The choice is yours.
Along with your composition, please provide a detailed description of your vision for your nation. The description should help all who listen to your composition understand exactly what you see when you imagine your setting.
